Chagdud Khadro is a lama and the spiritual director of Chagdud Gonpa Brasil, carrying forward the legacy of her teacher and husband, His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche. She met Rinpoche in 1978, married him in 1979, and studied under his guidance for twenty-three years until his parinirvana in 2002. Ordained as a lama in 1997, she was appointed by Rinpoche to lead Chagdud Gonpa Brasil, where she has maintained the high-quality Vajrayana training he established.
Under Rinpoche's guidance, Khadro compiled teachings on ngöndro practice from Dudjom's treasure, the practice of phowa revealed by Longsal Nyingpo, and the concise version of Apong Terton's Red Tara. She collaborated on Rinpoche's autobiography Lord of the Dance and, as former director and editor of Padma Publishing in the United States, edited numerous translations of Tibetan texts. She continues working with translations and publications in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
Khadro has been instrumental in preserving Rinpoche's vision, including supervising the construction of Zangdog Palri, Guru Rinpoche's Pure Land manifestation in Brazil. She also engages in projects offering spiritual support for the dying and caregivers of terminally ill patients. Currently, she oversees activities and teaches at all Chagdud Gonpa Brasil and Chagdud Gonpa Hispano-America locations, and regularly teaches in Europe, the United States, and Australia.
