Dr. Gregory Seton is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Religion at Dartmouth College and a translator of the Transcendent State of Wisdom in Eight Thousand Lines (Toh 12). He is a project consultant for the Khyentse Vision Project, where he contributes expertise in Buddhist philosophy and the theoretical frameworks of Prajñāpāramitā. He holds a DPhil in Sanskrit and Tibetan Buddhist Studies from the University of Oxford and has held research fellowships and teaching positions at the University of Hamburg, the University of California Santa Barbara, and Mahidol University in Thailand. His forthcoming book, Defining Wisdom, is a study of Ratnākaraśānti's commentaries on the Prajñāpāramitā. Appointed by Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche as a Khenchung for the Mangala Shri Bhuti community, he has taught meditation for over thirty years and lives in Vermont.
