Jan Willis is Professor of Religion Emerita at Wesleyan University and Visiting Professor at Agnes Scott College. She has practiced Tibetan Buddhism for five decades, studying with teachers across India, Nepal, Switzerland, and the United States. As both practitioner and scholar, her work explores meditation, the lives of Buddhist masters, women's contributions to Buddhism, and vital questions about Buddhism, race, and social justice.
