Hope, Fear, and the Veils That Hide Our Natural Clarity

The mind is naturally luminous, but conflicting emotions and hope-fear cycles veil this inherent clarity —enlightenment isn't missing, just obscured by mental turbulence you can learn to see through.

This teaching explores how the human mind is naturally flawless and luminous—its true essence comparable to pure gold. Problems arise not because we lack enlightenment, but because we lose touch with this internal awakening, leading to a decline in self-trust and clarity. As we become disconnected from our inherent purity, we're overwhelmed by conflicting emotions and caught in the constant cycle of hope and fear. These dualistic distractions—the push and pull of wanting and not wanting, grasping and rejecting—act as veils obscuring the higher consciousness already present within us. The teaching emphasizes that this enlightened state doesn't need to be created or achieved; it's simply hidden by mental turbulence. By recognizing how emotions and dualistic thinking cloud our natural luminosity, we can reconnect with the awakened awareness that has been there all along.
